Senecio oxyriifolius (False Nasturtium)

A very unique species, not often seen for sale. The plant produces unique round, succulent leaves during summer from a small caudice, which can reach about 20 cm in diameter and is can be grown half-exposed. It is an indigenous species, occurring in the highveld region and can take lots of water during summer and withstands very cold conditions. Best grown in direct sunlight and kept moist during summer. The leaves die down during winter and re-grow from the caudice during summer. Plants are two year old, grown from seed and has a caudice of about 5 cm in diameter.
