Pleiospilos nellii (Split Rock, Lewerplant)

These are native to the Great Karoo, they can with age grow to be about 5 cm in diameter. When grown in full sun they live up to their common name, looking very much like a split rock. They are best grown in ample direct sunlight, with light watering throughout the year. These plants are well adapted to frost. The plants being sold are still small, three years old and about 5 cm in diameter.
