Nananthus vittatus (Kalkvygie)

A very easy to grow Mesemb, adapted to a range of conditions, can handle significant water, drought, direct sunlight and able to withstand heavy frost. It is a dwarf species, forming a small cluster, with large underground taproot, to 5 cm in diameter, which can also be grown exposed if desired. It produces pretty yellow flowers with central red stripe during winter.
