Monsonia (Sarcocaulon) camdeboensis - Karoo Bushman Candle

A beautiful, succulent shrublet with succulent stems up to 10 mm thick, with thorns up to 3 cm long. It produces small white/yellow flowers throughout summer. This species is native to the Great Karoo region and is quite hardy - well adapted to arid environments, fairly frost hardy and can survive very high temperatures. It is an easy plant to grow, water well throughout the summer, while reducing water during winter when the leaves fall off. Best grown in full sun and can take very high temperatures. Plants offered are adult plants now starting to flower. They are seed grown, with strong root systems.
