Gasteria excelsa (Regal Oxtongue)

One of the largest of the Gasteria species, this can grow into a striking focus plant, with diameter of up to 75 cm! The leaves are large and broad, with scattered spots. The flower is red, with green tips and born on a large inflorescence up to 2 meters tall. Plants being offered are already fairly large, with leaves up to 20 cm long, though still distichous and will only start spiraling when they reach about 30 cm. Plants should be grown in semi-shade and soil can be kept moist throughout the year.
