Cheiridopsis peculiaris (Steinkopf)

A unique species with the Afrikaans common name of Eselore (Donkey Ears). The species is known only from a small area near Steinkopf. It is adapted to high heat and arid conditions and will only grow well and flower if given enough sunlight during winter. This is also a winter growing species and we water it from February to October. Large yellow flowers in late winter to early spring. Plants being offered are large adult plants, with a leaf spread of more than 10 cm.
