Ceropegia haygarthii

A unique and rare plant with some of the most exotic and beautiful flowers! This is a climbing plant that can form quite a large amount of stems over time. Stems are succulent, producing succulent leaves during summer. The species occurs in the northern, Bushveld areas of SA where it climbs through shrubs and trees. This is an easy plant to grow. Water well throughout the summer and never allow to dry out too much. Reduce watering during the dry winter period. Keep in semi-shade but allow for 1-2 hours of morning sunlight (this will promote flowering). Grows well in hot and humid conditions. Best grown in hanging baskets or trained along a trellis. Plants being offered are large, seed-grown plants with a minimum stem length of 30 cm.
